QUIC ve HTTP/3 nedir?

Öncelikle QUIC bir kısaltma değil, bir isimdir. QUIC tam olarak İngilizce [quick] kelimesi gibi telaffuz edilir.

QUIC, HTTP/2'nin TCP ve TLS üzerinden bilinen bazı eksikliklerini gideren, HTTP gibi protokoller için yeni, güvenilir ve emniyetli bir aktarım protokolüdür.

HTTP/3, HTTP'nin üçüncü ana sürümüdür ve QUIC'i temel alır. TCP'ye dayanan HTTP/1.1 ve HTTP/2'den farklı olarak HTTP/3, QUIC'in çoklanmış UDP protokolünü temel alır. HTTP/3 ve TLS 1.3, performansı ve gecikmeyi büyük ölçüde artırabilir. HTTP/3, aktarım katmanı semantiğini (TCP'den UDP'ye) değiştirir ve HTTP istek başlıklarının, istek yöntemlerinin, yanıtların ve durum kodlarının semantiği değişti.

Hemen hemen tüm büyük tarayıcılar artık HTTP/3'ü desteklemektedir; bazı HTTP istemcileri (Curl gibi) ve web sunucuları (Nginx gibi) deneysel destek sunmaktadır. Caddy Server'da varsayılan olarak HTTP/3 desteği etkindir.

HTTP/3 QUIC Çevrimiçi Test Aracı, web sitesi sunucusunun QUIC aktarım protokolünü ve HTTP/3 protokolünü destekleyip desteklemediğini test etmek için kullanılan ücretsiz bir çevrimiçi araçtır.
